Upon meeting with the seller of the collection of scrapbooks, she showed me a collection I believe is truly priceless.
She had a box from the 1940s full of more than 300 postcards, photographs, letters, V-mail, ration cards and holiday cards…all from one man’s journey from across the world. While I cringe at breaking a piece off of the collection, I purchased a handful of these treasures.

I believe the one on the right is Jack Bonnett.
These letters and postcards were all sent to Jack's friend, Bob Kleinpell, in Tigard, OR.
On the back of this postcard, Jack writes: 1-10-45 Dear Bob, Squish your eyes and take an imaginary walk up this street. Have been by here many times. Sincerely, Jack."
Opened this Christmas card to find this cutout - nothing saying what it is exactly other than "Germany April 26, 1945 Luner-Beersign." Might have to do some googling on this one.
On the back reads: "VE found me here with a chicken dinner, so I had a picture taken across the street by some knocked out trains and tracks." I sit here screaming silently "TELL ME MORE!"
