Time for the ducklings to move out of the house! They’re so big… I put a nice, deep container of water in the tank and they went dunking… 🙂
Chick Chronicles: Taking Over the Yard
The girls have grown and claimed their land in the backyard — and they don’t like any other birds or critters in their space. 🙂 Penguin is indeed the largest of the bunch. A visitor crept into the yard: And these birds chased the cat off — they are some tough chicks: The ducks keep on growing:
Ducklings: Growing tall into week 3
Well it looks as if these girls were stretched out in a taffy puller or something — they’re getting so big! And those Indian Runners are just all neck. In fact, they don’t fit in the photo framing so well… Will need a wider lens, it seems. Ah. turning the camera at an angle helps capture those adorable bowling pins: Scrunched down for a quick shot: Khakis: Stretching her wings: Can’t believe how much they’ve grown. Chick Chronicles: Grown up and Moved out
… Moved out to their temporary coop at least. 🙂 Everyone seems so happy with their new space and over the past few weeks they’ve grown into lovely little teenagers. Foghorn and one of the Rhode Island Reds: Blondie is still the sweetest, always jumping up on our hands and always content to hang out with humans. Penguin is turning into the largest of the bunch. Excited to see what she looks like in even a few more weeks! Everyone fights for the best spots on the perches. They all sleep on this one branch at night and there’s a nice little shuffle they do to fight for the highest...
